One Way

1 Timothy 2:4-6 (MSG) He wants not only us but everyone saved, you know, everyone to get to know the truth we've learned: that there's one God and only one, and one Priest-Mediator between God and us—Jesus, who offered himself in exchange for everyone held captive by sin, to set them all free. Eventually the news is going to get out.
Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father but by me. Jesus was not accepted by the religious lot who wanted to earn their salvation.
The whole of the old testament shows a mankind given the opportunity to earn their salvation, they couldn't. I know many who still try and insist that they know the better way.
I have a fax, copier, scanner. When I wanted to know how to work it, I read the manual. The maker of the machine had definite plans as to how it should be used.
I have a life and I have a manual. The word of God is my manual. His word is sharper that any two edged sword, it is mighty to save.
To come to Him I must believe He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
He doesn't call me to religious rituals but a relationship, He wants to know me and for me to know Him, He wants a close, intimate relationship with me, that is Jesus' way.
Today choose life! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
