Held Tight

Isaiah 38:17 (MSG) It seems it was good for me to go through all those troubles. Throughout them all you held tight to my lifeline. You never let me tumble over the edge into nothing. But my sins you let go of, threw them over your shoulder—good riddance!
The above was written by King Hezekiah. He became sick and was told it was time to die and he sought the Lord.
He had a heart after God and sought His ways when confronted by a huge Assyrian army threatening to destroy him.
He seemed to have a revelation of God's ways. 'throughout them all you held tight to my lifeline'. To the true seeker, one with a heart for God this is how life is. He hears, He listens and He acts on our behalf.
Our sins are dealt with at the cross, all we have to do is call out to Him and He answers. When I mess up, a repentant heart is all He asks for. I do not have to lock myself away, flay myself or something equally awful. He was flayed for me, He was crucified for me, I can trust that all He did was enough for me.
Now through faith, I can live in a righteousness that He gives me. Amen!
