Live Wisely

Daniel 12:3 (MSG)  " 'Men and women who have lived wisely and well will shine brilliantly, like the cloudless, star-strewn night skies. And those who put others on the right path to life will glow like stars forever.

Our task is to live wisely and rescue souls from death. We cannot give ourselves to worldly pursuits, the latest trinket, the latest fad, this is all folly and wind, no substance.

Having said that my God is taking me into business and He has a plan but this is not my lust, my fantasy, this is His doing. I will walk wisely in all He gives me to do.

The funny thing is that I say 'I will walk wisely' but that does not mean I am clever, but I know what I don't know and trust Him for the rest. I go at His pace, I seek His insight.

I have found His pace, and I constrain myself to His rythym, it is where life is, provision is, I love it.

Each week He gives me new tasks to perform and I am able at the end of the week to look and say 'it is good'.

I have been sorely tested but I keep looking to Him and am confident 'this too will pass away'. 'He makes all things new.'

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
