Refiner's Fire

Revelation 3:18 (MSG)  "Here's what I want you to do: Buy your gold from me, gold that's been through the refiner's fire. Then you'll be rich. Buy your clothes from me, clothes designed in Heaven. You've gone around half-naked long enough. And buy medicine for your eyes from me so you can see, really see.

I know women, and men, for that matter who love gold and collect it, masses of it, rings on every finger. I have a lovely friend that has a thing about clothes, lots of them and shoes as well. I know others who are always at the doctors and have a cupboard full of medicine.

When we walk in our own vision, our own understanding, our own desires and consuming passions we are caught by that thing but our God is calling us to seek first the Kingdom and then ALL these things will be added.

We can get things backward so easily. It is not me first it is He first. It is not mine first it is His first.

Last night at DivorceCare I had the pleasure of speaking 'spirit' to a lost man and his ears were opened, he is searching. I went to bed and slept for a short while then was awake in prayer in the wee hours, 'salvation Lord' was my cry.

This is so much better than worldly pursuits, I love it! Yet I rose and went to work because that is what you do on a work day. It seemed that the enemy was trying to derail me but he couldn't, I was at peace. I love this life!

Go Holy Spirit! Win the lost! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
