Be Free!

Be saved from this corrupt generation. Acts 2:40b

Isn't it amazing that Acts refers to a corrupt generation and there is also a cross reference to Deuteronomy 32:5. In fact God wiped out the whole lot not far out from Adam and saved only Noah's family.

So what is the corrupt generation?

Could it be that it is the group of people who follow the crowd and do the worldly thing rather than seek the Lord?

We still have corruption so I guess we still have not realised that the only way to life is through Jesus Christ.

Constantly I am given choices. Will I solve this with worldly wisdom?

Yesterday my presence was requested by my previous employer and he laid down the law about something I had freely given making out that what he said was correct. I know it was all bluff and intimidation. Yet it still made me angry.

When angry which way will we solve our problems? The worlds way is to fight fire with fire. God's way is 'vengeance is mine says the Lord.'

I am working very hard to keep out of the line of fire as I want justice, but His way. To do this I must lay down my life and trust the Lord, not raise a finger, a word. A challenge, but with Him all things are possible.

I want my eternal reward. I want to be what God sees and believes me to be. I am going to be around forever, with Him, and I want to be His PA, His travelling companion, I want coffee with Him, games with Him.

The good news is I am free, I start my own business June 1. This time I will rest and not be anxious, I will let Him lead. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
