Boldness and Power

And now Lord consider their threats, and grant that your slaves may speak Your message with complete boldness, while You stretch out Your hand for healing, signs, and wonders to be performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.
when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled was shaken, and they were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak God's message with boldness. Acts 4: 29-31

Peter and John had been imprisoned for being a vessel through which the Lord healed someone, they were then set free because the Lord's boldness came upon them and the leaders had nothing to say.

Now the team were encouraged and met and prayed for more. Now they knew how God wanted to move, what He wanted to display His greatness and they were asking for more.

The key was finding out how the Holy Spirit wanted to move. Before the Holy Spirit showed up they were ordinary folk looking for the path, sound familiar?

So what did they do? Sought the Lord. He showed up and began to work through them.

Finding how the Holy Spirit wants to move takes time, to wait on Him.

The disciples could have assumed that they were to go out just like Jesus and started without the power. The result would not have been the same.

I remember times of boldness and empowerment, the Holy Spirit was there. What is He doing now?

The frustrating thing for me is He is making me wait on Him, step by step. It is good, because when he moves I know it is Him.

In this modern day of instant actions the Lord needs us to know He has not changed and He does not wear buttons. Amen!
