Evil Men

Though He was delivered up according to God's determined plan and foreknowledge you used lawless people to nail Him to the cross and kill Him. God raised Him up ending the pains of death, for it was not possible for Him to be held by it. Acts 2:23,24 HCSB

I remember the first time I read in Proverbs 'even evil men as used by God for a purpose.' The above scripture indicates this.

I am aware that so many times 'evil people' will do things in my life that hurt, shatter, destroy but as I run to my God He turns it all around for my good.

I have to remember that He resurrects, He lifts up, He is God not my enemies, if I only keep my attitude right and release Him.

I am constrained by the attitude of Jesus on the cross, 'Father forgive them, for they know not what they do'.

Evil people can be family and friends who get their knickers in a knot and take out their sin on you and me. Evil people are ordinary people who indulge in evil.

As I trust Him, and wait, He is making all things new. He is good at being God!

More than anything else I want His blessing, His goodness, His provision. I will not lift my hand against Him and say 'because You are too slow I will do it'  no! no! no! Abraham had Ishmael because of impatience, bad move.

I want what is really mine Lord! You alone knows what that is.  Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
