Hope is Coming

I will display wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below; blood and fire and a cloud of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the great and remarkable Day of the Lord come. Then everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
Acts 2:19-21 (HCSB)

Already this year is being called the year of devastation and many wonder 'is this the end?' I have seen the sun turned to darkness as in an eclipse, I have seen the moon turn to blood after fires. Yes there is similar reference to this and more in Revelation 6:12 and in Matthew, Peter and others.

But what interests me is the last verse above 'then everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved'.

We are entering such a time. The Holy Spirit is being poured out. Hope is coming for us.

I sense the same spirit that I knew when I was first saved in 1974. A new beginnings spirit, a freshness, a back to basics revival is coming.

In 1974 I had my first pastor Bill Beard of the Lighthouse Christian Centre in Wollongong, NSW. He was a simple, very humble man of God. What was on him is back.

I am excited because I know what that means, I know the joy, the salvation, the manifestation of the Lord's power.

A last He is coming. Amen!

Know Your Sword!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
