How Great?

When they heard this, they all raised their voices to God and said, "Master, You are the one who made the heaven, the earth, and the sea, and everything in them.  Acts4:24

What was 'this'? It was the report that the religious leaders had tried to find fault with Peter and John after the lame man was healed, and could not.

A good report increased faith in those that heard it. How good is the message of life?

Conversely how bad is the message of the doomsday soothsayer?

I meet so many of the 'well I don't know' types. I have to watch my own confession when around them.

I have just had the best week in Sydney. Finally I have completed all my training and today received my own Financial Planner number from ASIC (Australian Securities and Investment Commission - they govern a lot of the business and financial markets in Australia). Wooohoo!

While at the airport waiting for my flight I had a cuppa with a few of the men who also did the course. It was interesting to hear their version of how things should progress.

How good is my God! He put me up in a beautiful Hotel in Circular Quay Sydney, I had the best pool and gym, I was the only one of about 15 to have breakfast paid for. When I went into my room I sang and praised my God, I felt very spoilt.

In fact I was the only one of 15 to stay at that hotel. I was the only one to receive my number today. I am the only one who has things moving for me.

I am so grateful, because He loves me, because He is in business with me, because He goes before me.

Why would anyone, in their right mind, reject Him?

How great is my God? Amen!

Know Your Sword!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
