No Fear!

On the night before Herod was to bring him (Peter) out for execution, Peter, bound with two chains, was sleeping between two soldiers, while the sentries in front of the door guarded the prison. Acts 12:6

Think back to the time Jesus was asleep in the boat while a storm raged and Peter was one of those who said to Jesus 'Lord we are perishing, help us.' Peter was wide awake through that storm finding it hard to believe Jesus could sleep.

Peter is now at peace, asleep in the storm of his life. About to be put to death, chained between two soldiers BUT God had a plan.

Peter had people praying for him, and that definitely helps however I know if I am anxious and fearful no amount of prayer from others will stop it, I have to stop it.

I have to choose to believe I am what God says I am and that He is in charge.

Peter was gloriously delivered and he himself did not quite believe what was happening, he thought it was all a dream.

We have to choose to turn our backs on fear and anxiety.

I remember a time in my life when I was an exploring youngster without fear. That is who I am and I must reject fear, it is not me. I refuse to live it. Amen!
