Above All

        Men of Athens! I see that you are extremely religious  in every respect. For .....I found an altar on which was inscribed: TO AN UNKNOWN GOD. Therefore you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you. The God who made the world and everything in it -He is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in shrines made by hands. Neither is he served by human hands, as though He needs anything.' Acts 17:22-25

I need not fear lest I forget to lay flowers before Him, I cannot contain Him in a shrine, He is everywhere.

He is not removed from me, He wants to know me as His best friend, even me in all my wrong. He does not require me to sacrifice to Him the only sacrifice I can give Him is my sacrifice of praise.

If I offend Him all I need to do is be sincerely sorry. I do not need to fear that He will punish me, He is not like that, He is my father, my friend.

He is not the destroyer, He brings Life, life abundant. He blesses me with all good things.

He is interested in all I do, He knows the number of hairs on my head. He saw me in my mother's womb and knew me.

He cares for me, provides for me. He is my source and supply. He is the beginning and the end of all things, He holds all things together.

To me He is not unknown, I know Him and love Him because He loves me. Amen!

Know Your Sword!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
