Be For Me!

Whoever is not for me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters. Matthew 12:30

This scripture comes in the middle of teaching about an accustaion that Jesus was casting out demons by the power of satan, which he refuted and then went on to speak about blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

However the above scripture smacks me in the face, as a believer. It speaks to me about not becoming slack and lazy in my faith. For if I become a voiceless entity then I do not think Christ, speak Christ, live Christ.

Staying with family and doing life in community I must draw aside to spend time at the fount of what it is all about for me. Who is in charge?

I am in Tasmania and having time with family and being involved in their farm and life, I am mindful of the grace that allows me the priviledge but also the grace that draws me forward. The last two nights we have watched two movies; De Ja Vu and Inception, both intriguing mind movies, very powerful in presentation. Yet the most powerful influence in my life is the gospel, it intrigues me and calls me to greater depths.

On Sunday I went for a 45km bike ride with my sister, 10kms were up a steady but unrelenting gradient, I was spending time with my sister, in her world, yesterday she dragged me to the gym. Sunday evening I took my mum to her catholic church, it was not my style but it blessed her.

Still I am drawn to the one who's word is true, steadfast and never changing. He is my source, my supply, my blessing. Yesterday I went and saw a client in Ulverstone, I love meeting new people and making them mine. How much more does the Lord love drawing the lost to himself.

Today I travel to Hobart to see a client, my sister and mother are going with me in the motor home and we will make an outing of the trip. How blessed am I? This is a lovely place and I am with lovely people yet I must live for Him who called me, first and foremost I am His. Amen!
