Victimhood

Therefore don't be afraid of them, since there is nothing covered that won't be uncovered and nothing hidden that won't be made known. Matthew 10:26

I wanted to again visit this scripture as I don't think I covered it fully yesterday. What is Jesus saying here? We know so much is done out of a wrong spirit, so much cruelty is done in the dark, so much abuse is covered as the perpetrators delight in their sin in the dark. Yet Jesus is saying it will come into the light.

I wonder how long the young innocent victims of sexual sin have to wait until they receive justice? How long do the women who suffer horribly have to wait until their abuser come into the light?
We see them on TV as the abusers are brought to justice and sometimes the victims are elderly now. Sometimes the victims are dead.

The victims of the Holocaust in the last world war waited for years for their abusers to receive their sentence, their closure.

Corrie Tem Boom knew about this yet as she went to her God she had closure in Him before her abuser repented.Corrie's sister died before she saw such justice.

Being a victim of abuse is horrible, when can they go for justice? There is only one who sees in the dark, is ever present. The Lord is His name. We can run to Him for shelter. We can seek His protection, He will defend us, if we will run to Him.

Salvation belongs to our God. It is He who will save us. He alone is God if we allow Him to be, if we put our trust in Him. Salvation comes His way in His time but we must trust Him. Amen! May of the saints of old died before they saw it but it came. Whether or not it comes in our lifetime is not the issue, the issue is do we remain a victim or can we allow the Lord to set us free?
