You are God!

Then those in the boat worshipped Him and said, "Truly You are the Son of God". Matthew 14:33

The disciples had a God encounter. They had been toiling in a sea that threatened to take their lives and Jesus shows up, walking on water and the minute He enters the boat the storm ceases.

Did you ever sing 'with Christ in my vessel I can smile at the storm, smile at the storm, with Christ in my vessel I can smile at the storm as we going sailing home'?

We can sing songs speak words but we must live them. When the storm comes He has to be our focus. What are you looking at? I remember Ps Phil Pringle once or I should say often saying 'when you are under pressure you are melting and what you are looking at is what you become.'

This rings true with me. As I focus on Jesus and His word I am calmed, transformed and encouraged. He has all the answers in my life of 'what ifs' He has the path laid out for me in the bog, He has a future planned for me in the fog, all I have to do is follow Him like a dog. (I am a poet)
As I see Him and Him alone, He meets me when I wake, He greets me when I return home, He speaks to me, sings over me, loves me. I am blessed. Amen!

Know Your Sword!

So he took Him to Jerusalem, had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, "if you are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here. Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
