Witnesses

Meanwhile, the crowd, which had been with Him when He raised Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead, continued to testify. This is also why the crowd met Him, because they heard He had done this sign. Then the Pharisees said to one another, "You see? You've accomplished nothing. Look- the world has gone after Him." John 12:17-19

The testimony of the eye witnesses was mighty and drew all who heard it. What is your testimony? Who are you speaking to? Who is being drawn?

I have been snatched from eternal damnation and given new life, new hope. Have you?

If you know you have this life within you do not hide it, speak it out.

At Alpha on Tuesday night the big question was, 'why is there so much bad stuff and why does God not intervene'?

The answer was if God continually wiped away the bad we would not be living the choice which He gave us. We have been given the ability to choose and the wrong choices of others and perhaps ourselves causes the bad stuff to happen. What He does for us is walk with us through those times and encourage us to use our faith in Him instead of running to fear or complaining.

The times when the innocent children suffer or we ourselves suffer at the hands of evil men we cannot explain but I know I can choose to blame God and walk away or humbly seek Him and trust Him to walk me through that time.

I have to trust Him for the finish and for eternity. I cannot blame Him for what I do not understand.

The crowd who were running to meet Jesus came to see and proclaim that the King had come, because of the witnesses. Yet they needed to know Him personally to truly benefit.

This was also discussed on Tuesday night. Jesus is about relationship not just do my bidding. God is not a tool we use to fix stuff but a loving God who wants to be our friend.
