The words of a man's mouth are deep waters, but the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook. Proverbs 18:4
This verse caught me and as I pondered I looked at a cross reference in Psalms 18:16
'He reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters.'
How great is our God? At first glance the verse in Proverbs is all about me but now He is here and I am blessed.
This life is not all about me, there is so much more. He is right beside me, picking up life's circumstances and using them as tools to mould my character. For He sees what I will be in Him and not in me.
He is creating vessels of honor out of clay and what a beautiful job He does, as He is the master potter.
As I struggle to work in a valley without Internet, He looks beyond these minor ants of problems to when I will laugh about 'the good old days'.
We can find ourselves in 'deep waters' and at times will speak out of that place but He has another place for us, the babbling brook, the fountain of wisdom. As I lock into Him the brook begins to bubble and flow bringing life and hope.
Today speak out of the brook not the deep, enjoy Him where He can be found. Amen!
