My Rock

Lord I call to You, my rock, be not deaf to me.
If You remain silent to me, I will be like those who go down to the pit.
Listen to the sound of my pleading when I call out to You for help,
When I lift up my hands to your holy sanctuary.
May the Lord be praised, for He has heard the sound of my pleading.
The Lord is my strength and shield;
My heart trusts in Him and I am helped.
Therefore my heart rejoices, and I praise Him with my song. Psalms 27:1,2;7

How many times do you 'feel' alone and in trouble? I would hazard to guess many. How do I know? We have the same enemy, he attacks us all and thrown his barrel of lies at us, especially when we step out to trust in a scary place.

He will be working overtime in an endeavour to cause us to let go of faith, hope and trust. Remind him, 'it is written, I will never leave you or forsake you.' (words of Jesus)

He is faithful across the chasm; in the boat on a stormy sea; in a fiery furnace; in a lion's den.

His word is true, He is good. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
