Chosen

For Yahweh, the most high is awe inspiring, a great king over all the earth. He subdues people under us and nations under our feet. He chooses us for His inheritance- the pride of Jacob whom He loves. Psalm 47:2-4

We see here that the Lord had chosen a people to be with and in and how He behaved towards those He loves.

In Christ He expanded those He loved to all and any who choose His Son. I am now one of His chosen because I made a choice.

God is disposed to those who choose Him and listen to Him just as I am disposed to my children and grandchildren.

There are others who are mine as well. They are those who have ears to hear, those my God has given me responsibility for. I love these dearly.

Yesterday I met with clients whom I cherish. They are not those who have given me anything, except relationship. These dear folk have faced the horrors of cancer, again and again. Yet still they shine. I was not able to give them what they wanted directly but was able to inspire them with a hope way beyond what they asked for. I saw light come into their eyes. Lovely!

I would do anything for these beautiful people. How much more will my God go ahead of me and give me a hope and a future?

Know Your Sword!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
