Proficient

By this I know that God delight in me; my enemy does not shout in triumph over me.
You supported me because of my integrity and set me in Your presence forever. Psalm 41:11

Tonight I watched two Aussie sailors outmaneuver the Brits, they did a magnificent job. They kept to the plan, they had practiced and sailed time and again and they remained focused, they did not fear because they knew what they had to do.

There was one spot where the Brits were causing the Aussies to tack back and forth, allowing others to sneak ahead, yet, the Aussies broke free and took off. (please be aware that I not a sailor yet I can admire the tactics).

We have an enemy and at times he plays us hard, what we have to remind ourselves is; 'stay focused, watch the Lord, listen to His voice'.

I have manual, I must know it and practice. I learn the ropes by hanging with the Lord and trusting Him to lead, giving Him room to move, especially in difficult times.

I can become proficient as a Christian, if I allow my God to train me.
If I buck and take the reins back then I never know the joy of walking close to Him and watch His blessing flow as I trust Him.

My integrity is more a matter of my ability to trust and stay calm than being a superstar. He is the star!
