Put Down?

I am like a deaf person; I do not hear. I am like a speechless person who does not open his mouth. I am like a man who does not hear and has no argument in his mouth.
I put my hope in You, Lord; You will answer, Lord my God.
For I said, 'don't let them rejoice over me - those who are arrogant towards me when I stumble'.
For I about to fall, and my pain is constantly with me. Psalm 38:13-17

Is this you? Do you feel put down and crushed by sickness, by others opposing you?

I know many who are and have been there myself, not a good place, yet God is there! He is using the heat you feel to mould you.

I still remember a saying of Ps Phil Pringle when he said:'when you are going through difficult times you in the fire and when you are in heat you are melting and you will become what you are looking at.'

If you are looking to the Lord you will be changed into His image but if you are looking at your negative circumstances and feeling sorry for yourself you will be caught in self-pity and bitterness. Be careful where you look and to whom you give the power over you.

David said : ' I will put my hope in You Lord.' good choice!

My hope is in the name of the Lord who made heaven and earth, my strength is is the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Amen!
