Real Hope

The horse is a false hope for safety; it provides no escape by it's great power. Psalm 33:17

The previous verse is similar: ' a king is not saved by a large army, a warrior will not be delivered by great strength.'

We place a lot of trust in our money, our own fitness, our own ability,
our families etc yet we have a jealous God, He wants all of our trust.

I have come to know that I can trust Him and now I would rather go to Him than, say, the doctors, the banks,
the government.
He is totally on my side and is totally able to save me.
His power is greater than anything else, He uses all things for His glory.
He will use the market,
the bankers decisions, he will move on governments to make decisions that favour me.
He did that with my business,
I, little old me, was given an opportunity to start an AMP practice without any financial backing of my own and they backed me.
When I lived in Sydney he caused a lender to give me favour and they backed me to run seminars for them, why? Because I had favour.
Recently a car dealer backed me and made a way for me to buy a great
new car.
He is going before me as I am about to buy my own home, why? Because He loves me and wants to bless me and because I love him with all that I am and He loves that.
Trust Him first and last and everything in between.

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
