The Love of God

When I am afraid I trust in You.
In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not fear. What can man do to me. Psalm 56:3,4

I am blessed to be reading a Max Lucado book: 'Six Hours One Friday'.
He paints beautiful word pictures. The Jesus He presents is the Jesus I thought was there but as I read I am enjoying someone else presenting Him to me. I like this Jesus. He is whole, confident, nicely normal and best of all He knows His Father; who He is and what He came to do.

I am feasting and enjoying my God. Thank You Max.

By the way this man writes great kids books.

I also enjoy the writer PUl the apostle and his take on the above scripture is in Romans 8:31
'if God be for us, who can be against us!' yay!!! Verses 38,39 clinches it:
For I am persuaded that not even death or life, angels or rulers, things present or things to come, hostile powers, height or depth, or any other created thing will have power to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
