The Way to Protection
Happy is one who cares for the poor; the Lord will save him in a day of adversity.
The Lord will keep him and preserve him; he will be blessed in the land. You will not give him over to the desires of his enemies.
The Lord will sustain him on his sickbed;
You will heal him on the bed where he lies. Psalm 41:1-3
Here is a Psalm with a promise. If you are one who gives to the poor then you will be cared for by your maker.
The word poor does not necessarily mean financially destitute alone, it means those who are brought low by their own circumstances or others.
Be generous even when it hurts, give the time, the smile, the listening ear, the finance, the effort and it will keep you.
Mind you do not do it as if you are paying rent but with a heart that loves to bless. Amen!
