Lead the Way

They do not know or understand; they wander in darkness.
All the foundations of the earth are shaken. Psalm 82:5

This scripture is referring to leaders. When those who lead, who should know better, do not know better, then we are all in trouble.

In Australia at present there is a voting in parliament regarding 'same sex marriages'. The church has a watch dog who notify us of pending voting and who to write to, for those who cannot conceive a written letter, they also provide templates.

I responded and wrote to my local ministers encouraging them to vote for traditional marriage. The minister in my area wrote me an email saying that he had considered all communication about the matter and he was going to vote for marriage between a man and a woman. This blessed me. However, what if I and those like me had not written, would he have bowed to pressure to vote for 'gay marriages'? I suspect so.

Has this leader lost his way? Is it more important for him to please those who write than to please the creator of all?

Leaders of all types need to have, at their core, an integrity that will not waver. They need to protect divine truth in their own hearts and those of the community.

If you are a parent, you are a leader. There are many things that we can lead the way in. Proverbs tells us to buy truth (it costs) and don't sell it.

Jesus said, 'where your treasure is, there your heart is also'. What do you treasure?
