Testing Times

I heard an unfamiliar language: 'I relieved his shoulder from the burden; his hands were freed from carrying the basket. You called out in distress, and I rescued you; I answered you from the thundercloud. I tested you at the waters of Meribah.' psalm 81:6,7

Mighty God had taken His people from Egyptian slavery, yet when they got some distance in the desert they complained bitterly about needing water, they did not simply ask.

We, His people, are delivered from various types of Egypt and now is endeavoring to build a relationship with us.

When difficult times come, which they inevitably do, what is our response? Do we complain against the Lord, walk away, endeavor to save ourselves? Or do we humble ourselves and press in to Him, seeking His face and trusting Him?

God provided water at Meribah, God will provide water in your desert. Do you trust Him?

More importantly do you trust Him, without complaining?
