Destined For Him

When they did this (let down their nets), they caught a great number of fish, and their nets began to tear. So they signalled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them; they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.
When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus' knees and said, "go away from me, because I am a sinful man, Lord!"Luke 4:6-8

A true God encounter leaves you breathless, aware that the Holy one has shown you favour makes you aware of your sin. However, what Simon didn't know was that Jesus came to a sinful world to redeems us.

I am so grateful Jesus didn't leave Simon and He doesn't leave me, how about you?

Jesus goes on to tell Simon that he is destined to catch the souls of men. So, just after having caught his largest haul ever, he had finally hit the big time, he leaves his nets and follows Christ.

Could you do that? Peter leaves a successful business to walk with Christ and be destined for persecution and death but not before he helps turn the then world upside down for Christ.

Today we are grateful for that choice! What choices are you facing? Can you leave one thing for the unknown of another and in doing so leave a heritage for generations to come?

When you have a Jesus encounter you can. Amen!
