And forgive us our sins, as we forgive everyone who is in debt to us. Luke 11:4
Do you find that when you have unforgiveness inside if you it is easier to have a bad attitude and also you think the worse of them very easily?
Conversely when you have crossed the line to forgiveness your attitude is more gracious and less inclined to believe the worst of them.
I find that when someone has been particularly unkind and treated me bad my attitude struggles and I have to go to The Lord for His grace and mercy. Yet once I have made the decision and asked for forgiveness myself for my attitude my God goes all out to help heal the rift.
I recently had one such healing take place
And when again treated offensively by that person it was easier to forgive and show grace, which happened this trip up to Brisbane. I think the perpetrator expected a cold attitude and was pleasantly surprised.
I can't afford to let offence prevent God's grace from flowing. Salvation needs forgiveness as a part of the catalyst.
