Grace and Mercy

For He is gracious to the ungrateful and evil. Be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. Luke 6:35b, 36

Grace and mercy! Grace and mercy! Even as you have received, give. (Matthew 10:8)

The measure you give will be given back to you, pressed down, shaken together will be poured into your lap. Luke 6:38

These scriptures do not just relate to finance. In all that we give, we will receive.

What are you giving? Goodness, mercy? Or bitterness, anger and judgement?

Recently I had a harsh judgement made against me by a manager, it hurt and was unfair. I was angry with this man yet I must look to myself. What have I been giving? And how can I change things?

On Thursday this manager is coming to visit me, I am convicted that I must be a blessing. These are the times, when tested, that we must sow righteousness and the flesh is definitely not righteous.

At times like these I turn towards The Lord and ask for His grace and mercy, He alone is good! Amen!

No surrender to fear

““Don’t worry or surrender to your fear. For you’ve believed in God, now trust and believe in me also.” ‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭1‬ ‭TPT‬‬ Yesterday tens of thousands of youth stormed Parliament House here in Nepal. It has been reported that 20 were killed and hundreds were injured. I had stayed away from the area believing it to be unsafe and it was. Today, now that young people have been killed, there will be a greater strife brought about by parents of those who went to the protest. Milling children is never a good idea. Nepal has had a long history of strife. It has a civil war that lasted 10 years not so long back. Corruption fills the government and the people are not happy. However, underneath there are lovely human beings who need salvation. As in any race of people, there are people who have needs. I cannot be afraid of the uprest. I have a God who is the master of peace. He is good! I must trust Him. Amen!

Guard your heart

“So above all, guard the affections of your heart, for they affect all that you are. Pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being, for from there flows the wellspring of life.” Proverbs‬ ‭4‬:‭23‬ ‭TPT‬‬ I want to focus on the last sentence here, because it is explains why the first. I have an old friend who used to say to me, “Di let peace be your governor”. It was easier said than done. I was going through some very difficult times when he told me that. However, he was right. Yesterday was a difficult day in part. I had determined to give my body a day of rest. I walked several kilometres to church and attended the prayer meeting.
