"Whenever you pray, say: 'father you name be honored as holy. Your Kingdom come'." Luke 11:2
The Old Testament name for God was Yahweh. This was never spoken not written because it was honored so much, yet here we have personal, endearing name, Father.
The difference in names gives a difference in emphasis. The first was couched in law and the second covered in grace.
Who is the real God? The God Jesus portrayed was known by Adam and Eve before they sinned. They were friends of God, they knew His love.
Sin separated us from God but grace brought us home. Amen!
Grace restores, heals, unites, regenerate, forgives. Amazing grace! How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. Amen!
