"But I say to you who listen: love your enemies, do what is good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. Luke 6:27,28
Do the people in your world constantly disregard you; make plans without you; live as if you do not exist? Then welcome to the real world.
Having expectations, just because you are family does nothing but sour our attitude.
Yesterday, at church, I heard a woman full with rage because she had been invited to a family function where they have never considered her dietary needs. She is blessed because she was invited.
I have to remind myself I am blessed because my God is in my world, not because I have my own way.
Scripture tells me: 'if God be for me then who can be against me?' (Romans 8:31)
I have learned I cannot by my own strength make people like me or consider me, it is God who goes before me.
I have a situation where I was treated shamefully and kept a good attitude. The Lord sent someone along to sort it all out for me. Mind you I had to get past my own distress and decide not to talk about it and pray for that person.
Our God is good, He is on our side, if we allow Him room.
Give Him space today! Amen!
