Which of you shall have a friend, and go to him at midnight and say to him, 'friend, lend me three loaves; for a friend of mine has come to me on a journey, and I have nothing to set before him': and he will answer from within and say, 'do not trouble me; the door is shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give to you'?
I say to you, though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as many as he needs." Luke 11:5-8
This story was told to teach on persistence in prayer.
The hour was late, the need was a surprise and there was somewhere to go for help.
Today we face many such challenges. The One we can go to us our Heavenly Father. As the parable tells us, if we bother to go we will receive when we are determined to receive.
Yesterday we were in the middle of a cyclone today the sun is shining. Today I must travel on a road that is currently blocked, I believe it will open in time for me to go. How can I say this? My God is greater than the weather.
We have been without power for 36 hours it is time it was fixed. My God is big! Amen!
My regret is not praying sooner!
