Producing Fruit

A good tree doesn't produce bad fruit; on the other hand, a bad tree doesn't produce good fruit. For each tree is known by its own fruit. Figs aren't gathered from thorn bushes, or grapes picked from a bramble bush.
A good man produces good out of the good storeroom of his heart. An evil man produces evil out of the evil storeroom, for his mouth speaks from the overflow of the heart. Luke 6:43-45

Ever had the experience where your daughter brings home a villain for a boyfriend and you know he's a villain but she swears he's so good to her. She is blinded to the truth. The fruit on the young mans tree are brambles.

We can convince ourselves black is white if we want to badly enough. The reason we do this is we are where we should not be and it is not safe to be there. So we create an illusion.

We have an enemy who is more than willing to deceive us. Why we have to help is beyond me. Deception leads to destruction not life.

As a 15 year old I was madly in love with a man who was 25. I am grateful he did not consider me seriously or I would have been in dire straits. My God has a plan of salvation and I had to leave the town I grew up in to receive this precious gift.

I am so grateful for His foot in the door, for sending unsuitable suitors packing. He has been a good Father to me.

Our Heavenly Father is keen to see us grow and produce fruit. Fruit that lasts, in season and out of season. He prunes us, cultivates us, covers us. He is so good!

I was talking to a man who had two fruit trees. In a recent hail storm one trees beautiful apricots were devastated while his peach tree did not lose a single piece of fruit. He said the difference was in the net he put over both trees. The primary purpose of the nets were to keep the birds away. One was fitted tightly and one loosely. You can imagine which was which.

Our God makes no mistakes. His protection constantly amazes me. The least I can do is be the best tree I can be for Him. Amen!
