Boasting
Where is boasting then? It is excluded! (Rats!) by what law? Or works? No, but by the law of faith. Therefore, we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law. Romans 3:27,28
Oh how we love to boast. Just stick us in a group of people, wind us up and off we go.
I have been at a two day training session in Brisbane. Just float around and listen in. In any group and you would hear it. Boast, blah, boast!
In Christ we are constantly challenged with the above fact. It is His grace that blesses and causes us to function well. Grace is free, unearned and therefore not from me and cannot be claimed by me as my result.
On the opposite side, I need not beat myself up for non-performance but trust in Him who holds it all together.
How good is grace? Amen!
