Free Indeed!

For if we have been joined with Him in the likeness of His death, we will certainly also be in the likeness of resurrection. For we know that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that sin's dominion over the body may be abolished, so that we may no longer be enslaved to sin, since a person who has died is free from sins claims. Romans 6:5-7

Perhaps what is needed is identification. Jesus and His sacrifice are not removed from me. As I accept Him as saviour, something more than mere salvation from past sins occurs, something deeper. I am liberated from sins hold, sins demands, the cost of sin, the bondage of a life of sin.

Would you be free from your burden of sin?
There's  power in the blood, power in the blood,
Would you of evil the victory win?
There's wonder working power in the blood.
Would you be whiter, much whiter than snow?
There's power in the blood, power in the blood,
Sin stains are lost in it's life-giving flow,
There's wonder working power in the blood of the Lamb.
There is power, power, wonder working power in the blood of the Lamb,
There is power, power, wonder working power,
In the precious blood of the Lamb. (Hymn)

If the blood of Christ sets me free from sin, it sets me free from the wrath of sin. I see an outworking of wrath in the bodies of the saints, it is called sickness. Why is it there?

Jesus broke the power of sin and it's demands, I am free, you are free! Let's walk in that freedom. Amen!
