Justified Once and For All!
But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference, for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God has passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Romans 3:23-26
If you can dig deep into this scripture you will understand, the playing field has been levelled, we are all the same no matter what race, creed or religion. All sin, all fall short of God's glory BUT the good news is we ALL have access to the same grace, the same right standing with God through Jesus Christ.
Propitiation - now there is a big word that means: to appease an offended person. In other words, sin has been dealt with once and for all. Sin required blood to be spilled but because Jesus, the perfect, sinless, sacrifice shed His blood, His sacrifice covers us, once and for all.
Whether you are a goody two shoes or a thief, murderer and rapist all fall short because our self efforts are useless. With Christ the rules changed. It is not up to me to be good enough for God but it is up to me to accept the free pardon.
I can refuse the pardon and insist on doing things my way, for what purpose? At the end of my days I must meet the same maker as you and the same question will be asked: 'What did you do with the free pardon offered?' There is only one entry pass and it has Jesus Christ stamped on it what will you do?
There is no possibility of bribing your way in, stealing a pass (why would you when they are free?), murdering the gatekeeper (how can you He has already been dead and is now alive forever?)
If your stubborn pride prevents you, turn around and face the nasty beast who is your keeper for all eternity. No more freedom there, no fun just pain and suffering.
So today, make a choice! What will it be? Life or death?
