Resurrected Power

How can we who died to sin still live in it? Or are you unaware that all of us who were baptised into Christ Jesus were baptised into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too may walk in a new way of life. Romans 6:2-4
 
If I have truly had a 'born again' experience then my old life has died and I now have a 'resurrected life', my new life, to live.
 
If I say I am born again but live as if nothing has changed, I am living a lie.
 
A part of the new birth is a burying of all that was old and a decision to walk in the new, empowered by the Holy Spirit within.
 
There is no such thing as; 'I can't help myself'; 'that is just who I am'; 'this is the way all my family behaves'. Where is the resurrected life? Where is the empowered life?
 
When Jesus rose from the dead he walked through walls, there were no physical barriers, He was full of power.
 
Just as a Geiger meter tells us where there is radioactive substances, so there must be a Christometer that displays where the power of Christ dwells. If your eyes are not shining then there is darkness within.
 
Allow the word of God to illuminate the inner recesses of your life, invite the Spirit of God to reveal the truth and then face it off and deal with it so that you can move on in the power of God. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
