Righteousness and Faith
The one who is righteous will live by faith. Romans 1:17
Habakkuk 2:4 says: 'look his ego is inflated; he is without integrity. But the righteous one will live by his faith.'
It is so easy to fall into the trap of boasting and inflated ego. The above scripture tells me this is without integrity. When I find myself there I repent, humble myself and ask for grace. Grace keeps the wheels on the ground.
Repentance is an attribute of righteousness. When we repent righteousness flows to us.
Faith enables me to accept grace and the resultant forgiveness and walk righteously.
No amount of self/ propulsion will suffice, all I need is in grace. Amen!
