Wrath
Much more then, since we have now been declared righteous by His blood, we will be saved from wrath. Romans 5:9
Anyone who accepts Christ's sacrifice as their salvation and reconciliation to the Father knows they are right with God, not because of their own 'goodness' but Christ's goodness. This is called righteousness.
The pressure of having to be 'good' enough for another human being is a horrible pressure and I have experienced it. Living with judgement and constantly failing to appease or mollify is depressing, and soul destroying. Such a person, the judge, that is, is Pharisaical in their outlook. They see themselves as perfect and everyone else is the wrong doer. Quite a deception and nasty to live with.
Now, a lot of folk think God is like that. Wrong! There is one that thinks like that and his name is deceiver not God.
Our God loves the unlovely and seeks to bring us to Himself in relationship. Nothing much surprises Him and nothing much puts Him off.
So then there no wrath in God. If you, like many others, believe you are a failure, that you cannot get a break, that you are riddled with disease etc, then you are listening to the wrong voice. All of these are symptoms of wrath. Now if there is no wrath in God, where does it come from? You guessed it, the other guy.
So, if today, you are struggling with symptoms of wrath, tell it to leave and claim your birth rights: freedom; healing; blessing. Amen!
Scripture tells us: rebuke the devil and he will flee! So do it! Amen!
