Let's Agree?

Be in agreement with one another. Do not be proud, instead associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own estimation. Romans 12:16

Paul's letters to churches and individuals are full of instruction on being in agreement, humility and getting along. Obviously they had the same problem we have, our flesh gets in the way.

Not only Paul but James, Peter and John all encourage us to love one another. In fact all of the epistles are instructive. We have plenty of counsel to assist us.

Where do we go wrong? We ignore wise counsel or fail to listen to or to read wise counsel. Why? Perhaps we have become proud and indifferent.

What to do? Repent, humble ourselves and pray. The answer is always simple. Our Lord promises to come to us when we humble ourselves, it is up to us.

Humbling ourselves is attractive to the Lord and we experience His presence. It is worth applying Christ to Christianity. Amen!
