A New Perspective!

So if you have been raised with the Messiah, seek what is above, where the Messiah is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on what is above, not on what is on the earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with the Messiah in God. When the Messiah, who is your life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory. Colossians 3:1-4

Ok, so if I live at no 10 Downing st, I should check out the rooms, the kitchen, the garden, the bathroom; get to know my new home. Wouldn't it be funny if the new Prime Minister never bothered to investigate his new home, or get to know his staff. Imagine him living as if he still lived in Nottingham or Liverpool.

I am reading our former prime minister(John Howard)s book. From the very beginning his passion was politics. He had a goal, a plan, a vision. When he found himself at  the prime minister's lodge, he embraced all that that honour entailed. 

How can we, as children of the living God, joint-heirs with Christ, deny our heritage and refuse what has been given?

The way we became partakers is through death to the old life and living to the new. My life is now hidden, from all the enemy can do, in Christ.

I am blessed and a part of the best family in all eternity! I have the best father, the best brother, I am blessed! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
