Goodness and Faithfulness

I have been 'Yahweh your God ever since  the land of Egypt;
You know no other God but Me.
I knew you in the wilderness, in the land of drought.
When they has pasture, they became satisfied, and their hearts became proud. Therefore they forgot Me. Hosea 13:4-6

Have you ever been forgotten? How does it feel?

Have you even forgotten your childhood friends and moved on only to discover they were the ones you needed in a crisis? I did!

I also remember a time, in my 20s when my husband and I went from being poor to blessed and we became proud for a season. We soon realized that we did not like it in that place and moved back to faith. Since that time I have clung to faith, knowing what idleness and neglect tasted like.

I am so grateful my Lord did not walk away from me. I am so glad He stayed faithful during this time.

Now I have been through many times of blessing and many times of hardship but the constant is my faith. His faithfulness draws me on and I love Him for it. Amen!

Do not forget the goodness and faithfulness of The Lord! Turn do Him in gratitude! Learn faithfulness from Him! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
