He is the Dew
I will be like the dew to Israel; he will blossom like the lily and take root like the cedars of Lebanon. His new branches will spread, his splendour will be like the olive tree, his fragrance, like the forest of Lebanon. The people will return and live beneath his shade. They will grow grain and blossom like the vine. His renown will be like the wine of Lebanon. Hosea 14:5-7
The only way Israel could stay faithful was by walking close to their God and that was impossible when they lived in a body of sin.
Jesus came and showed us a better way: walking in faith of the work He did, restoring us to our God.
In myself I can say: ' I will not sin, I will be strong,' and without the Holy Spirit's strength inside me empowering me I fall again and again.
He is my reward, my strength, my song. It was He who completed the work and opened the door to eternal life. I am not a saviour, in myself I am mortal flesh unable to save myself.
I can pull one part of my life into order but another will crumble as I strive. If I rest in Him, I am able to do all things.
The Lord, in the above verse, said: ' I will be like the dew to Israel'.it was only then that Israel could blossom and take root. It is our God who makes the first move toward us, it is our God who establishes us, it is our God who blesses us. Praise Him!
Invite Him to be God in your life and watch the difference! Amen!
