Faithful Servants

Tychicus, our dearly loved brother, faithful servant, and fellow slave in The Lord, will tell you all the news about me. I have sent him to you for this very purpose, so that you may know how we are and so that he may encourage your hearts. He is with Onesimus, a faithful and dearly loved brother, who is one with you. They will tell you about everything here. Colossians 4:7-9

Isn't it good that there are faithful servants of the gospel, still? How they refresh our souls!

Today found me in church twice as I was serving on team and also bringing a report about reconciliation in DivorceCare, two so far. I had the opportunity to pray for two people and minister to another, what a blessing. This afternoon found me praying for one of these for a breakthrough.

How I enjoy sharing in what the Holy Spirit is doing, He is an awesome partner!

Being at church I heard two good messages from Romans 5. Hope does not disappoint.

Being in church made me grateful for those who come early to practice in band; those who spend time waiting on God for a message; those who clean up after others; good servants.

Tychius and Onesimus made into into the record book of Colossians but there are many more whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Be faithful, stay steady, run the race with perseverance and stay focused on He who is able to save your soul. Amen!

Know Your Sword!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
