God is God!

Now Elijah the Tishbite, from the Gilead settlers, said to Ahab: "As The Lord God of Israel lives, I stand before Him, and there will be no dew or rain during these years except by my command!"
Then a revelation from The Lord came to him: "Leave here, turn eastward, and hide yourself at the Wadi Cherith where it enters the Jordan. You are to drink from the wadi, I have commanded the ravens to provide for you there." 1 Kings 17:1-4

Elijah does not, it seem, come from the Hebrew nation, yet he heard from The Lord and was ardent in following his ways. He boldly stood up to Ahab, a wicked and malevolent ruler.

I love how my God had a man in a wicked nation, who would stand for righteousness and boldly proclaim the truth. He stepped out in the power of the Almighty.

We see in the above scripture how God had a plan to provide for his man, while at the same time punishing a wicked nation. A drought would come on the land and food would be scarce. The rivers would dry up and the crops would fail, yet God provided Elijah with food and water. The ravens brought him meat and the water of the river drink until The Lord provided the next plan.

No matter what our circumstances, or where we find ourselves, God is God and He will provide. His plans are best. All we need to do is trust and obey. Amen!
