Spend Time

When Ahab saw Elijah, Ahab said to him, "is that you, you destroyer of Israel?" Elijah replied, "I have not destroyed Israel, you and your father's house have, because you have abandoned the Lord's commands and followed the Baals. Now summon all Israel to meet me at Mount Carmel, along with the 450 prophets of Baal and 400 prophets of Asherah who eat at Jezebels table," 1 kings 18:17-19

A face off was coming! Elijah full of the Holy Spirit was challenging the satanic hoarders. How exciting!

Our God holds all things in His hands. He is at peace, we need to rest in His peace. He knew He was well able to triumph over all His enemies and went on to do so in front of all Israel.

In the night I was awake conversing with The Lord. He said to me, "I am!" I am not striving to be, I am. When you know what you are and what you are capable of you rest no matter what comes against you. He then reminded me that I am in His hands, hands that are at rest. How awesome is that?

One thing The Lord constantly whispers to me is: " look at Me!" If I look at my circumstances I fear but as I steadily look at Him I walk on water, figuratively speaking.

Elijah had just spent three years in the backside of the desert waiting on God, looking at Him alone, eating bread and drinking water. No wonder he did mighty acts.

Spend time and grow strong! Amen!
