What is the Plan?

They camped opposite each other ( Israel and Aram) for seven days. On the seventh day the battle took place, and the Israelites struck down the Arameans -100,000 foot soldiers in one day. The ones who remained fled into the city of Apek, and the walls fell on those 27,000 remaining men.
1 kings 20:29,30

The Israelite army was small (like two small flocks of goats surrounded by a large army). God was in the plan and Ahab followed the plan, to a point.

If God lays down the plan then who are we to fear? If He is in control what can we change by worry?

Today I headed off to see a client 5 hours drive away and when I had travelled 11/2hours my car lost power and the gear box failed. I happen to have a VWGolf. There is a  recall on many models of VW cars because of a fault in the gear box. I was 10kms outside a small town on my way to another small town. There was a reasonable amount of traffic. Precisely where my car failed the road had just opened up to include a turn off lane for a certain road. On that road today there were many large, oversize vehicles carrying mining structures, double bogey trucks and the like. However, my car failed at just the right place. Any earlier or later I would have been in trouble.

Now I know my God was in charge. I am headin out again tomorrow to see the same client. There was grace.

A tow truck came and took me to the small town I had just passed through, there I waited for my employee to collect me. While I waited I discovered the people of the town, in the local pub having lunch, nice people. I joined them and will, visit again.

What good is frustration, anger and abuse? My role was to discover what God was doing. He had a plan. I had family travelling the same road at the same time and He knows how He wanted me to behave.

In everything we do we are watched. All I can say is: " bless The Lord oh my soul, oh my soul, worship his holy name, sing like never before oh my soul worship His holy name. Amen (song)
