An Open Door

After this I looked, and there in heaven was an open door. The first voice I heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, ' come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this." Revelation 4:1

There is an open door into heaven, we are welcome in, in fact we are invited in, our God wants to show us things. I know as I press in to God He reveals the next step when something troubles me. He has a plan and it is best to enter in to His courts with praise and wait for the answer.

Immediately I was in the Spirit, and a throne was set there in heaven. One was seated on the throne, and that One seated looked like jasper and carnelian stone. A rainbow that looked like emerald surrounded the throne. Revelation 4:2,3

When you press into God you can see answers in the spirit, God opens your spiritual eyes. John was beholding The Lord on His throne, in glory. Jasper is an opaque jewel and carnelian is a vivid red.

Opaque to me speaks of open clarity, you can see into it, red speaks of the blood shed for me. An emerald rainbow may have constituted the :blue, green, indigo and violet, parts of the spectrum and Christ already had the warmer colour red in himself. The rainbow speaks of security. God had promised to never flood the earth again, the rainbow speaks of His faithful word.

To summarise we have an open door, a welcome to come a God who is pure, true and faithful. There is no deception or hidden agenda. All is open and welcoming in our God. Most of all He is glorious and worthy of our praise.

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
