He is Lord

When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. He laid His right hand upon me and said, "Don't be afraid! I am the first and last, and the Living One. I was dead, but look - I am alive forever and ever, and I hold the keys of death and Hades. Therefore, write what you have seen, what is, and what will take place after this." Revelation 1:17-19

As I read this I hear a song: 'After All (Holy)' from the album Bless The Lord of My Soul. 

Imagine seeing what John saw. You turn around and you see Christ in all His glory. In Old Testament times no man saw God and lived.

We need to know He is glorious, He is the conqueror of death and hell, He, alone, holds the keys, He is in charge.

He is alive, forever and ever, without end. Nothing can contain Him, nothing can stop Him. He is great and nothing defeats Him. If God be for us, WHO can be against us? Romans 3: 31

What is strutting round in your world claiming lordship? What tool of the enemy is seeking to destroy you? Yesterday I visited clients, one has terminal cancer, the other is having to have her whole large bowel removed. I prayed Christ into their world. I refuse to glorify sickness. Jesus is greater. I am expecting to hear what God has done.

Satan has his tools of sickness, infirmity, his lies and destruction out there telling people he rules. Jesus is greater than the liar and cheat. Jesus is Lord! Lift Him up first in your world then in the lives of others. Go!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
