Judgement

Then I saw Him open the sixth seal. A violent earthquake occurred; the sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair; the entire moon became like blood; the stars of heaven fell to the earth as a fig tree drops its I ripe figs when shaken by a high wind; the sky separated like a scroll being rolled up; and every mountain and island was moved from it's place.

Then the kings of the earth, the nobles, the military commanders, the rich, the powerful, and every slave and free person hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains. And they said to the mountains and to the rocks, " fall on us and hide us from the face of the One seated on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb, because the great day of Their wrath has come! And who is able to stand?" Revelation 6:12-17

The question asked by the saints slaughtered for their faith: " when will You avenge us?" was being answered by the next seal.

God's judgement will be final and huge. The sky rolls up, the stars fall, the sun turns black and the moon blood red, the mountains and islands are moved from their place. An awesome display of power. He is Lord! He always has been Lord but mankind took advantage of His silence and grace.

God is real, He is mighty and in control. Although permission was given to Satan to test Job God controlled the final outcome. Here God controls the final outcome.

We could ask: why allow persecution? But if we are honest we know why. Persecution purifies and speaks to the persecutors as well as to those who come behind.

I have read stories of saints kept in Chinese jail all because they preached where they were not permitted. Some when released wanted to go back because they had a mission to the souls in prison,

Westerners think of 'rights'; what is 'fair'; comforts; prosperity, ease. Whereas there are those who think of knowing Christ and winning souls and not being content if they have neither. Perhaps we need to see as Christ sees! Amen!
