Preparation for the Bowl Judgements
Then I saw another great and awe- inspiring sign in heaven: seven angels with the seven last plagues, for with them, God's wrath will be completed. I also saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire, and those who had won the victory over the beast, his image, and the number of his name, were standing on the sea of glass with harps from God. They sang the song of God's servant Moses and the song of the Lamb;
Great and awe-inspiring are Your works,
Lord God, the Almighty; righteous and true are Your ways,
King of the Nations.
Lord, who will not fear and glorify Your name?
Because You alone are holy,
For all the Nations will come and worship before You
Because Your righteous acts will be revealed.
After this I looked,and the heavenly sanctuary- the tabernacle of testimony- was opened. Out of the sanctuary came e seven angels with the seven plagues, dressed in clean bright linen, with gold sashes wrapped around their chests. One of the four living creatures gave the seven angels seven gold bowls filled with the wrath of God who lives forever and ever. Then the sanctuary was filled with smoke from God's glory and from His power, and no one could enter the sanctuary until the seven plagues were completed.
The last seven plagues are about to be inflicted on the earth and unrighteousness mankind.
Before the throne is the sea of glass and on it this time are the saints redeemed from the a tribulation, those who were persecuted for their faith. The seven bowls will be full of their prayers and used to bring judgement on the earth. The fire amidst these saints represent God's wrath on their behalf. They were singing the song of Moses and the Lamb.
Moses was a type of Jesus, delivering God's people from slavery. Jesus was the perfect Lamb. When Moses took the children of Israel through the Red Sea through to dry land they all sang a song of victory, led by Mose's sister Miriam on the timbrel. (Exodus 15)
The fact that these saints are singing the song of Moses indicates they are safe on the other side, with their God.
All the nations will come and worship the Lamb in the time of His reign on earth. This was spoken about by the Apostle Paul in Philippians 2:10,11
Again the heavenly sanctuary was opened, previously mentioned in 11:19, the judgements come out from there, this time the seven bowls, the last of the judgements.
The seven angels were dressed in priestly garb, that of white linen, with gold sashes around their chests.
Then the sanctuary was filled with smoke from God's glory, no one could enter until the end of the plagues, no more intercession, no more time.
How hard hearted can mankind be to still resist, even unto death and eternal suffering. God is definitely in charge. You may think: "yes but He can't control me, I decide who I serve, I am my own master!" At what price? Eternity goes on forever and ever and ever and in eternity you are no longer your own master, you will see truth then, and it will be too late. Amen!
